The Atlanta, Georgia-based company said that preliminary figures show that revenue will be in a range of $45m to $46.5m for the quarter to March 31, roughly in line with market expectations and 6.9% above last year’s level. License revenue is expected to be in a range of $9.5m to $10m, while service revenue will be in the $30m to $31m range.

However, while the consensus of analysts’ expectations, reported by Thomson First Call, was for earnings of $0.22, a figure before exceptional items of $0.16 to $0.18, while on a GAAP basis they will be in a $0.15 to $0.17 range.

CEO Richard Haddrill said the company has been gaining market share. Also, while many of its competitors have been cutting staff, it employed 1,004 people on March 31, up from 955 at the end of the previous quarter.
