Manchester United under surveillance

Coach Louis van Gaal watches every move of players.

By CBR Staff Writer

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has installed £500,000 worth of camera equipment at Carrington training ground to track the performance of the players.

According to Manchester United defender Jonny Evans, Van Gaal watches every move of the players and replays the footage to show the players their mistakes.

Evans said: "That is the standard he has set for us. There are a lot of fine details to stick to but we all know that is the standard."

"It is everything from the clothes you wear to the time you have a meal and everyone eating together."

The surveillance system is a new way of tracking player’s progress and Manchester United might just set a benchmark for other clubs that can follow the same method to improve their team’s performance.

Van Gaal is also using video analysis of the pre-season tour of the team in the US.

The former Holland coach officially took the post as the Manchester United manager two weeks ago and is now attempting to adjust the team to 3-4-1-2 formation.
