The new channel, Singlemalt.tv, is the creation of Australian film producer Rob Draper, whose belief in the potential of internet TV has lead to the imminent launch of a new channel that will offer specialist programs, news and features.
Whisky expert Charles MacLean, author of ‘Scotch Whisky: A Liquid History’ and chairman of the nosing panel at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, will host the channel.
The 24-hour channel aims to tap into the growing worldwide interest in single malts, and looks set to be pioneering product in the rapidly developing industry of online television channels.
The channel, hosted by Narrowstep will be available to subscribers for about GBP20 ($37) a year.
