The ambition of Thomson-CSF SA’s Thomainfor to become the dominant European force in third party computer maintenance has taken another big step forward with the acquisition of a majority stake in Cero Mantenimientos SA and an agreement to provide third party maintenance to Informatica Cero SA, making it the dominant force in Spain. The company looks for $6.8m turnover next year and will have a staff of 64. It already has bases in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Cartagena, and will add new ones in Seville and Bilbao later this year and in Lisbon next year to provide complete coverage of the Iberian peninsular. Thomainfor reckons its now number one on France and Austria, and in second place overall.
