MAI BASIC FOUR COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF MAI CANADA AND SORBUS OPERATIONS

MAI Basic Four Inc, Tustin, California, has completed acquisition of MAI Canada Ltd and the Basic Four computer maintenance operations of Sorbus Inc from Bell Atlantic Corp for a total of $146m, which was met from bank term and revolving loan agreements: MAI looks for the combined businesses to contribute $28m to $30m in operating profit on $90m to $95m turnover in the first year.
