Consulting, Engineering and IT services provider Mahindra Satyam has partnered with Galorath, a provider of estimation applications called the SEER solutions, to provide costing application to manufacturing companies.
This partnership shall focus on the ‘SEER for Manufacturing’ application in order to provide Should Costing applications to discrete manufacturing companies operating in industry segments like Aerospace, Industrial, Energy & automotive verticals.
Should Costing is a systematic methodology for cost modeling and benchmarking that offers required transparency in the cost structure of a product, enabling manufacturer to investigate cost optimisation through efficient supply chain, manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
The two companies will complement each other’s strengths to provide Should Costing consulting applications to customers based upon the estimation strengths within the ‘SEER for Manufacturing’ application.
Galorath’s ‘SEER for Manufacturing’ applicantion contains a knowledge base of manufacturing processes that will enhance Mahindra Satyam’s cost estimation processes as well as help address opportunities across a spectrum of industry domains.
Mahindra Satyam Integrated Engineering Solutions business global head and senior vice -president Karthikeyan Natarajan said the tie-up with Galorath will enable it to leverage the growing market for Should Costing applications.
"This partnership with Galorath will help us leverage the SEER solution to reduce product development cost for our customers, thereby helping them launch cost competitive products," said Natarajan.
