MAGNA UPGRADES MAGNA X WITH JAVA CLASSES

New York City’s Magna Software Corp has added Java classes and methods to the 2.4 cut of its Cobol-based Magna X mainframe development environment: Java CICS and Encina transaction processing clients can now be generated from the Magna repository, with IBM Corp’s CICS support available from this month; Encina from March, and other transaction processing monitors and Object Request Brokers to be added in future cuts, the company says.
