MACHINE TECHNOLOGY IN JOINT VENTURE WITH NIIGATA ENGINEERING

Machine Technology Inc, Parsippany, New Jersey, has signed a letter of intent for a joint venture with Niigata Engineering Co Ltd of Tokyo for the manufacture and marketing of semiconductor manufacturing equipment in Japan: the venture is to be called Niigata MTI Co Ltd, and will be equally owned.
