Luxembourg-based airline Luxair has signed a 10-year contract with Lufthansa Systems, a German IT provider for the airline and aviation sector, for the ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt revenue management system.
According to Lufthansa Systems, the airline has selected ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt to modernize its revenue management. By switching to ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt a typical mid-size airline can increase its revenues by up to $6m per year.
Lufthansa Systems has said that the system covers all core processes of revenue management from data loading and demand forecasting to optimizing availability data, and offers an extensive reporting tool.
Luxair started its co-operation with Lufthansa Systems in 1996 as one of the first customers of Elwis, Lufthansa Systems’s cargo handling solution, and recently renewed the contract for another five years.
Alberto Kunkel, executive vice president and head of sales and marketing at Luxair, said: Especially in today’s challenging business environment we need to adapt quickly to changes in market demand and the competitive situation by adjusting the available seats and prices. ProfitLine/Yield Rembrandt perfectly meets our requirements in terms of functionality, reliability and ease of use.
