The memorandum states that Lucent will initially provide the majority of the radio access network for the KPN Mobile project, which would be worth around EUR100 million for the period of 2001 to 2002. This covers the Universal Mobile Telecommunications Services (UMTS) radio access network consisting of Lucent’s line of Flexent(TM) UMTS base stations, as well as network design and planning services.
