Under the terms of the agreement, TPSA has the option to purchase products and services from across the entire Lucent Integrated Network Solutions portfolio, which includes access, switching, optical and data transmission solutions in order to grow the network and meet the increasing demand for bandwidth. TP S.A. will be supported by Lucent Worldwide Services, who will perform installation, enhanced program management, network design services, technical support and maintenance.
We are looking to improve our competitiveness in the marketplace by offering our business and residential customers a wider variety of advanced services, such as fast Internet access and a range of data, voice and video networking capabilities, said Bertrand Le Guern, Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. chief technical officer and board member.
