With its high 2.2MHz operating frequency and tiny SOT-23 package, the LT1930A surpasses any previously released parts as the smallest solution size for generating a 5V output from an input voltage as low as 2.6V. The small SOT-23 package and minimal external parts count make this device ideal for use in TFT LCD Bias supplies, digital cameras and distributed power supplies. Furthermore, its small form factor and high efficiency make the LT1930A an ideal choice for conversion needs in modems, xDSL power supplies and medical diagnostic equipment.

The LT1930A operates from a 2.6V to 16V supply and features an internal 1A, 36V rated switch. The high 2.2MHz switching frequency enables the use of small, low cost capacitors and inductors, which minimize the total PCB footprint (8mm x 10mm) and maintains a height profile below 2mm. It’s low 0.01uA shutdown current virtually eliminates battery drain during shutdown, extending operating time in battery powered portable devices.

The LT1930A is available from stock in a 5-lead SOT-23 package. Pricing starts at $1.85 each for the LT1930A in 1,000-piece quantities.
