LSI LOGIC EUROPE SEEMS TO HAVE CREATED 180 JOBS IN SIDCUP

By CBR Staff Writer

LSI Logic Europe – which seems to have postponed plans for a local share flotation indefinitely – expects to have created about 180 jobs at the Sidcup, Kent former STC Plc plant in which STC retains a small stake: the plant started with 20 people in January and looks to have 200 by the end of the year; the company’s investment this year is set at UKP7m and it looks for UKP15m output from the plant during 1989.
