LSI LOGIC BIDS $30m FOR GENERAL ELECTRIC’s INTERSIL

LSI Logic Corp is bidding $30m cash and notes for the General Electric Intersil chip shop. According to Electronic News, GE is looking for three times that amount, but semiconductor companies are such a buyer’s market that LSI is standing firm on its price and may well win.
