LSI Logic Corp chief executive Wilf Corrigan told the Hambrecht & Quist conference that he expects LSI’s growth to exceed the 20% forecast for the rest of the semiconductor industry: the improvements in earnings, revenues and gross margins is something that should continue throughout the year; in 1993 LSI reported earnings of $1.09 per share against a $2.48 loss per share in 1992 while revenues rose to $718.8m, from $617.5m in 1992; LSI has capacity to meet demand with a second major plant coming on stream this year in Japan, he said.
