Upp Technology has said that it has provided an inventory and resource management system (IRMS) to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) to manage critical inventories throughout the state’s public health facilities and provide information sharing with government and public health personnel statewide.

The implementation included three regional warehouses, multiple clinics and central receiving points for delivery of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Strategic National Stockpile, said Upp Technology.

In addition, IRMS will streamline the registration, triage, and treatment of patients during events, while monitoring vital patient and inventory data to ensure crisis response remains swift and proactive.

The system also includes IRMS architecture, which combines both a web-deployable application and mobile IRMS Go-Kits to ensure critical emergency management and response operations are performed regardless of the conditions, according to Upp Technology.

Carl Brewer, president of software solutions at Upp Technology, said: With IRMS, the state of Louisiana benefits from a centralized solution that enables the DHH to provide accurate and timely distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, protective equipment and donated goods. Our inventory management and patient tracking solutions ensure that Louisiana has the critical tools in place to gain accurate information to manage state resources and patient care during both emergency events and day-to-day operations.
