LOTUS PREVIEWS ITS HOT NEW RELEASE 3 OF 1-2-3

By CBR Staff Writer

In a piece of exquisitely bad timing, Lotus Development UK chose the first day of its Lotus World ’88 exhibition here in London yesterday, today and tomorrow, to preview its hot new release 3 of 1-2-3 and had to fob off queries concerning the release date and imply that it was still on for June: you see a US company is forbidden to announce price-sensitive information anywhere until it has been notified to shareholders, and it was only Tuesday night UK time that the US parent got around to posting the news that the thing would be four to six months late (see front page); Lotus says it needed more time to rewrite the product in C without compromising functionality and portability.
