Lotus Development Corp’s contribution to the Networld+InterOp show was a new software package for designing, routing and tracking forms around the enterprise network. Called Lotus Forms, the product consists of the Form’s Designer, a version for applications developers, and the Forms Filler for end users. The Designer is Windows-based, and is said to incorporate the company’s LotusScript 2.0 cross-product scripting language to build routing and tracking capabilities while 12 form templates are also included. The product is said to support the Vendor Independent Messaging as well as the Messaging Application Programming Interface. Lotus says that the forms can be circulated throughout the enterprise as standard attachments to cc:Mail, Notes and Microsoft Corp Mail. To ship within 60 days, Lotus Forms will cost $400.
