Lotus Development Corp has begun shipping CD/Networker, a network implementation of the Lotus One Source business and financial information products that are delivered on Compact Disk: CD/Networker enables users to share One Source information across a network, and requires an 80386 class database server with CD ROM drive, proprietary CD/Networker software and the disks, and it currently supports Novell Inc NetWare with support for other networks planned; pricing is on a server and node model and customers pay an annual subscription fee for access to One Source products, an annual fee for the server, and a smaller additional software licence for each node on the network; stand-alone One Source prices go from $7,000 to $20,000 a year.
