LOTUS’ 1-2-3 NETWORKER AVAILABLE IN THE US

By CBR Staff Writer

Lotus Development Corp’s 1-2-3 Networker networked version of 1 2-3 Release 2 is now available in the US: 1-2-3 Networker enables multiple users to share 1-2-3 programs and files, simplifying and enhancing access for up to five users at a time directly from the network file server by eliminating the need for key diskettes at local personal computer workstations; it includes a 1-2-3 add in which locks worksheet files so that only one user at a time can make changes, while giving other users read-only access to the files, and users also can combine Networker pacakges to provide for more than five users at a time; supported by IBM PC LAN Program 1.1 with IBM PC Network or IBM Token Ring network adaptors, 3Com 3+ 1.1 with Etherlink network adaptors, Novell SFT NetWare 286 2.1 or Banyan Vines 2.1 both with 3Com Etherlink adaptors, it is $2,475 or $250 if you turn in five singleuser 1 2-3 Release 2.X system disks.
