LOSS-MAKERS INTELLICORP, KNOWLEDGEWARE CANCEL THEIR BANNS

By CBR Staff Writer

Reporting a whopping $2.5m first quarter loss on sales down 39% at $1.9m, Mountain View, California-based IntelliCorp Inc also revealed that its previously announced definitive merger agreement under which KnowledgeWare Inc was to acquire it in a share exchange has been terminated. It says the two are continuing discussions with respect to possible co-operative development or marketing arrangements aimed at offering integrated software engineering suites for the Unix market. The company also said that chairman and chief executive Thomas Kehler has quit to pursue other interests and that Katharine Branscomb, who joined the company three years ago after stints with Aion Corp and Metaphor Computer Systems Inc, is president and chief executive.
