LOGITEK DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR DIED WHILE ON HOLIDAY

Colin Atherton, a divisional director of Logitek Plc, and a leading campaigner for the standardisation of Unix in the UK, died while on holiday on Thursday August 25 at the age of 38; a qualified electronic engineer, he joined Logitek in its start up phase in 1980 and was a major contributor to its success, participating in the management buyout of 1983 and the successful flotation of the company in 1986.
