Logitech has been the official webcam partner for the YouTube Video Toolbox since July 2006, when it entered into the partnership agreement to allow people to watch and share original videos through web.

The version 11.5 includes a YouTube button at the bottom of the QuickCapture interface. According to Logitech, a video captured using the Logitech webcam can be uploaded by selecting the video and clicking on the YouTube button. Users can also add information about the video clip, including the title, a brief description, video category and search tags. When uploaded, the YouTube page returns a web link to the clip for distribution to family and friends.

The software can be downloaded from Logitech’s website. For uploading a video, the user needs to have a YouTube account and internet access.

Last month, Logitech collaborated with Luxembourg-based technology company Skype to deliver free video calls over the internet using its webcam and QuickCam software version 11.5.
