Logicalis Group, a provider of international IT and Communications offerings, has signed an agreement to acquire video communications offerings and video managed services firm Direct Visual, a UK based Tandberg (now part of Cisco) Platinum Partner.
Through this acquisition, Logicalis will strengthen its Unified Communications and Collaboration business.
Logicalis will create a new centre for the newly combined Cisco/Tandberg offerings set including: desktop video, integration of video and unified communications and collaboration, room systems, and Cisco and Tandberg Telepresence offerings.
The acquisition will also extend Logicalis’ managed and hosted video communications and collaboration services.
Logicalis UK managing director Tom Kelly said video has been an important market for look forward, they expect video to become an ever more important part of their integrated Unified Communications and Collaboration (iUCC) offerings and services portfolio.
"Organisations are now looking to seamlessly integrate video into a user’s communications experience, and with the acquisition of Direct Visual, Logicalis now offers a compelling proposition to the UK market," Kelly said.
