Logicalis acquires Netarx for $34m

Gives Logicalis a dominant position within the Michigan offerings market

By CBR Staff Writer

The IT and communications offerings integrator Logicalis Group has acquired information centre offerings provider Netarx for $34m.

Netarx provides IT professional services including managed services, data centre, collaboration, and infrastructure design offerings to customers in the US mid-west.

Logicalis noted that the acquisition will boost its existing Midwestern presence by expanding its IT consulting and services business, enhances managed services capabilities on the back of Netarx’s expertise in collaboration and data centre technologies.

The acquisition will also provide Netarx clients with access to Logicalis’ outsourced services, cloud computing and data centre management offerings across the US.

Both Logicalis and Netarx are Cisco Gold Parters, so the acquisition also helps to strengthen this strategically important relationship, the companies noted.

Logicalis Group said the deal also brings significant cross selling opportunities as there is little overlap between Logicalis` existing customer base and Netarx`s offering in the Michigan area.
