The integration is also expected to address the increasing need for international oil and gas businesses to share information within, and between, their operating companies in order to improve efficiency and cut costs.

LogicaCMG said it is participating in the Powered by SAP NetWeaver partner initiative to provide its customers with a more flexible business approach, enabling real-time processing, helping organizations integrate people, information and business processes across the enterprise.

Under the terms of the agreement, Prodis will be integrated with data from mySAP ERP solutions, third party applications and legacy systems, through the SAP Enterprise Portal. It is hope that this will allow managers to be better informed to make key decisions and to manage the flow of data through the organization.

Jim Tapper, managing director, energy and utilities international line of business, LogicaCMG, commented: By integrating our proven Prodis solution with SAP NetWeaver, we will help our clients to efficiently integrate upstream operations onto the corporate desktop, lowering total cost of ownership through standardization and consolidation.
