Logica Plc will supply Reuters Holdings Plc with a customised system for gathering and formatting information for its directories: the development costs – over one year – are not being disclosed, but Logica developed an expert system, integrated within an Oracle database, to pick out and store relevant information, which is subsequently formatted on magnetic tape, ready for automatic type-setting.
