Logica Plc and the Oslo Stock Exchange have reached agreement over the problems caused by the dismissal and subsequent drowning of stock exchange president Erik Jarve: it turns out that Jarve had secured his son a job with Logica as part of the contract, and Logica will pay the exchange UKP25,600, the cost of the training of Jarve’s son; Logica confirms that Jarve had requested that his son be employed by the company, but says it thought the president acted on behalf of the exchange; the Oslo Stock Exchange, in return, will pay Logica UKP4,000 as compensation for the costs incurred from Jarve’s involvement; and independent auditor will go through Logica’s project costings to make sure there are no other irregularities and meantime, work on the project is progressing.
