British IT services group Logica Plc has increased its presence in the Czech Republic with the acquisition of FCC Folprecht, a systems integrator with offices in Brno, Prague and Plzen, for CZK315m ($10.48m). FCC Folprecht carries out integration services in utilities, the financial and industrial sectors, as well as carrying out custom software development and hardware distribution. It reported an operating profit of $530,000 on revenues of $18.3m in 1997. It will now be merged with Logica’s existing presence in the Czech Republic, which is a 70-person office in Prague. Logica currently has a presence in 23 countries.
