Business and technology service company Logica and Tapiola Data, a subsidiary of the Finnish insurance company Tapiola Group, have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to create a new company to provide information and communication technology services to the Local Insurance companies of the Tapiola Group.
As per the LOI both the companies will start negotiations for formation of the new company startting from 1 June 2012 and the new entity will be established by October 2012
The purpose of the join venture is to develop and produce ICT services which relate to the banking and insurance activities of Tapiola’s Local Insurance business.
Logica Finland CEO Heikki Nikku said the company is creating new operating models and services by combining the knowledge in Tapiola Data with Logica’s experience in producing business and technology services in the financial sector.
"The new company will also offer professional development and new career paths to skilled employees both locally and via our global operations," said Nikku.
