The reorganisation at Lockheed Corp flagged yesterday (CI No 1,149) involves the Calabasas, California planemaker seeking buyers for all four units that make up its Information Systems Group. The four are the Cadam Inc computer-aided design software operation, CalComp plotter business, acquired when Lockheed bought Sanders Associates in 1985, UK-based Metier Management Systems, which it bought in 1984, and Lockheed DataPlan, which offers flight planning and weather services. The group had sales of $589m in 1988. Cadam, and possible CalComp, may well appeal to Prime Computer Inc at the right price, if it can get MAI Basic Four Inc off its back.
