Liverpool City Council has opted for software packages from Peterborough Software UK to handle the payroll and personnel administration of its 35,000 employees; the council will run Peterborough’s Unipay, Unipersonnel and Statutory Sick Pay, SSP, software on two ICL 2988 and 39/60 machines, and has set April 1 as the target date for the first phase of the payroll implementation; this year’s rental figure is estimated to be UKP180,000.
