LISP MACHINE TO SOLICIT OFFERS FROM COMPANIES

Despite the offer on the table from Data General Corp (CI No 660), Lisp Machine Inc, Lowell, Massachusetts, says it will solicit offers from other companies: the company, which raised over $35m in venture capital for its Lambda artificial intelligence workstations, filed for Chapter XI bankruptcy protection showing assets of $7.4m and $16.1m; Texas Instruments at one stage had 25% and is still a big shareholder.
