The Irvine, California-based company launched its Wireless-N product line with a broadband router, called the WRT300N, and a notebook adapter, the WPC300N. More SME and home wireless networking products based on the draft standard will come in the second half of the year, said the company.

The 802.11n draft specification enables Linksys’ new products to transmit over two available channels at the same time, effectively creating a 40MHz channel that doubles the capacity for applications such as VoIP, audio streaming and high-def video.

Linksys also announced a DSL gateway, which will begin shipping in Europe mid-May, based on the draft spec.

The router and PC card can be bought from BestBuy.com for about $149.99 and $119.99 respectively, Linksys said.
