The links between Acorn Computers and the Cambridge-based Active Book Company are becoming more incestuous by the minute: not only has the company been set up by Acorn co-founder Hermann Hauser, the Book will also incorporate the Acorn RISC Machine cell in the custom-built Hercules array, use the Acorn operating system and now Jim Merriman has been appointed managing director – Merriman comes fresh from his position as deputy managing director at Acorn; launch date for the Book has now slipped from year end to first quarter 1991.
