LinkedIn mobile app uses can now update their profile with a new headline, add a new job position or add recent skills from their mobile phone.
"We’re making it possible for mobile professionals to edit their profile on the go," said LinkedIn’s senior product manager, David Breger.
The new feature is available in all current languages offered on the iPhone and Android apps.
LinkedIn recently released its Q3 2012 results which shattered analyst expectations. The company reported $252m for Q3 revenues compared to $139.5m during the same period last year.
LinkedIn’s net income also performed well totalling $2.3m compared to a net loss of $1.6m in Q3 last year.
The company’s quarterly performance comes after new solutions and improvements LinkedIn introduced earlier this year.
Revenue from talent solutions products came to $138.4m, a dramatic increase of 95% compared to Q3 2011.
"LinkedIn had a strong third quarter with all of our key operating and financial metrics showing solid growth," said Jeff Weiner, CEO of LinkedIn. "The last few months mark the most significant period of product development in the company’s history. This accelerated pace of innovation is fundamental to our goal of driving greater engagement on the LinkedIn platform."
LinkedIn recently released new features like endorsements which have encouraged more user activity and increased the frequency of profile updates.
LinkedIn’s predicts its revenue for Q4 2012 to range between $270m to $275m with stock based compensation ranging from $28m to $30m.
