LiMo Foundation, a global consortium of companies from the mobile industry, has unveiled new LiMo compliant handsets from manufacturers Else, NEC, and Panasonic Mobile Communications, bringing the total number of LiMo devices to 50.
The LiMo Foundation said that the new handsets are designed to feature NxG functionality and performance in an array of sleek device designs. The new handsets integrates keypad-to-touchpad conversion, auto-focus cameras, waterproofing and extended battery life.
According to LiMo Foundation, the three models from NEC to NTT Docomo include, docomo Style series N-01B that is designed with design house STNY, and is available in an array of colours, and includes an 8.1MP camera; the new Prime series N-02B that includes a 12.2MP camera and offers automatic scene identification; and the Style series N-03B, which comes with 3.2-inch WVGA screen and a 8.1MP camera with activate ECO mode.
The three models from Panasonic for NTT Docomo include, Prime series P-01B, a Viera phone with an integrated auto-focus camera and keypad that converts into a touchpad; the Style series P-02B that comes with a touchscreen-operated camera and in a variety of colours; and the Smart series P-03B that supports long battery life.
In addition, another LiMo deivice is the Else Intuition handset from Else, which provides provides advanced functionality while maintaining ease and simplicity of use.
