Lightower Fiber Networks, a broadband services provider, has expanded its network with Juniper Networks MX Series ethernet services routers.
By extending the reach of its network and upgrading legacy infrastructure with the MX Series, Lightower can deliver multiple types of services on a single converged infrastructure, leveraging Junos software, said Juniper.
Lightower is using the virtualization capabilities of the MX Series to maintain separation between different types of services running on the same router, enabling convergence of network services and functionality, while maintaining the appropriate levels of administrative separation. The virtualization capabilities on the MX Series enable Lightower to reduce network operations costs, improve efficiency and simplify network management, added Juniper.
Wendy Cartee, vice president of marketing for edge and aggregation business unit at Juniper Networks, said: Innovative service providers such as Lightower are upgrading their infrastructure with a flexible, highly scalable and service-enabling Juniper solution to lay the foundation for many years of profitable growth. The MX Series ethernet services routers allow service providers to increase the value of their networks and ensure long-term investment protection by providing superior efficiency, scalability and performance.
