LIFTING OF US TARIFFS ON JAPANESE IMPORTS EXPECTED SOON

All the signs are that the US is now keen to lift its $300m tariff sanctions on Japan at the earliest opportunity and is just looking for an excuse: trade representative Clayton Yeutter says that it appears that Japan is now observing the trade pact and that the tariffs will soon be lifted; Japan meanwhile is reportedly preparing a $1,000m shopping spree in the US that will likely include three or four scientific supercomputers.
