LG Electronics has selected Intrinsyc Software International to provide Destinator navigation and LBS software for multiple models of handsets running on Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems.

Destinator is a cross-platform navigation and location-based services (LBS) system capable of running on mobile phone operating systems.

According to Intrinsyc, features include turn-by-turn navigation with voice guidance, text-to-speech, pedestrian mode navigation, 2D and 3D views, local search of points of interest, integration with phone applications such as dialer and SMS, support of real-time traffic routing, speed camera travel guide, and the ability to integrate with social networking services (SNS) and other LBS offerings.
