LG has introduced Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, which is the first Android Wear device by the company to feature cellular connectivity and LTE.

According to the Korean electronics giant, users will be able to connect to the smartwatch through 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.

Since the watch has its own data connection, users will be able to fully use it without keeping it connected to a phone.

With a resolution of 480 x 480, LG claims that it is the highest resolution display of any smartwatch currently on the market.

It features a 1.38-inch full circle P-OLED display, which is slightly bigger than the 1.3-inch display its predecessor LG Watch Urbane has.

With a diameter of 44.5mm, the watch features hairline-etched stainless steel body and durable hypoallergenic TPSiV elastomer band.

LG has dumped the 410mAh battery used in LG Watch Urbane for a new 570mAh battery with Power Saving Mode that can last throughout the day and more.

Powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, the watch provides quick access to shortcut settings such as contacts, LG Health and apps list.

LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company president Juno Cho said: "The wearable sector continues to evolve and we’re playing an active role in that by bringing to market various devices that appeal to various consumers.

LG is initially releasing the watch in Space Black, Opal Blue, Luxe White, Signature Brown in the US and Korean markets followed by Europe, CIS, Asia and the Middle Eastern markets.
