Returning the compliment from Cupertino, Lexmark International Inc, in which IBM Corp retains a 10% stake, has four new models of its 4029 Series IBM LaserPrinter family, including two models compatible with Apple Computer Inc’s Macintosh computers: the black-and-white IBM LaserPrinters 10A and 6A can attach directly to Macintosh computers and provide 600 by 600 dots-per-inch resolution and multimedia input – Apple has a new printer that works with Windows as well as the Mac; the other new Lexmark printers are PostScript black-and-white printers, models 10P and 6P, for attachment to MS-DOS personal computers; the 10A is $4,000, the 6A, $2,700; the 10P $3,800, the 6P is $2,300; the company also has six models of an IBM-compatible keyboard which will bear the Lexmark logo; Lexmark is also preloading Windows on the IBM PTS-386SX typing workstations.
