Lenovo’s new YOGA Tablet 2 Pro has a projector

Hi-res 50-inch projections, says tablet maker.

By Ben Sullivan

Lenovo, one of the world’s biggest PC shippers, has released a new tablet with a built-in projector.

The Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro, which was unveiled by Hollwood heartthrob-cum-Lenovo product engineer Ashton Kutcher, contains a ‘Pico’ projector that can project a 16:9 854 × 480 pixel resolution at 50 inches.

The 13-inch Android tablet also features an 8-watt sound system with a subwoofer, a QHD 2560×1440 screen and up to 15 hours of battery life for an "elevated media experience".

Jeff Meredith, VP of mobile devices at Lenovo, said: "The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro is the culmination of the most extensive research and feedback we’ve ever undertaken, and Ashton has been with us every step of the way, bringing new ideas to the table, challenging us and always advocating for users."

Kutcher himself said: "Our vision for the YOGA Tablet 2 Pro was to create the best tablet on the market.

"To do that, we really looked at how people use tablets and what they needed for a better experience. The YOGA Tablet 2 Pro has got the best sound, a dramatically brilliant camera and display, a new mode, a projector and top processor, so I think we created the best tablet available. I can’t wait for people to try it."
