Lenovo has introduced a new series of ThinkPad laptops, which feature new Intel processing technologies, military tough durability and web conferencing features.
The new ThinkPad L412 and L512 laptops, which start under $700, come with choice of new Intel Core i3 and i5 processors with Turbo Boost and Hyperthreading technology; choices of Intel integrated or ATI Mobility Radeon graphics; and 3G/4G wireless connectivity options with Gobi 2000 module support for AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.
The 14-inch L412 and 15-inch L512 feature 16:9 HD antiglare displays, multitouch touchpads and offer up to 8 hours of battery life. They come with 4 USB ports/1 powered, combo eSATA/USB port, support for DisplayPort and VGA; and Windows 7 with Lenovo enhanced experience featuring up to 57% faster bootup and shutdown time, the company said.
Lenovo said that the L-Series laptops are 40% more energy efficient than previous ThinkPad laptops, and users can deploy Lenovo’s Power Manager software tool to monitor and adjust their power settings.
The new laptops offer offer a range of connectivity options from ethernet and bluetooth to WiFi, 3G and 4G; and are equipped with a high resolution camera.
