Lenovo has introduced a new entertainment tablet, IdeaTab S2109 that runs the new Google Android 4.0 operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich.

IdeaTab S2109 features Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 dual core CPU for multitasking and 1GB of system memory for enhanced multimedia experience.

The new entertainment tablet sports four SRS surround sound speakers, Micro HDMI output, 9.7-inch IPS HD display and 720p HD playback, or full 1080p HD via Micro HDMI output to an external HDTV or monitor.

Lenovo’s new tablet measures 9.7-inch, weighs 1.27 lbs and delivers up to 10 hours of battery life for web browsing and video playback (or 700 hours on standby).

IdeaTab S2109 also includes a micro-USB for charging and connecting to other digital devices, a micro HDMI connector and a micro-SD card for swapping videos and photos directly with a camera, or for storing movies.

Lenovo Innovation Product Operations director Yao Li said, "The tablet’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS and amped-up features give consumers something that will keep them conveniently entertained anywhere, anytime in an incredibly slim package – whether they’re consuming or sharing their favorite websites, books, videos or music."

"It’s as nimble and convenient as toting a magazine, but it offers much more than the contents of one," Li said.
