Lenovo leadership bolstered by HP & Packard-Bell veterans

EMEA and North America President appointments latest move in new strategy.

Lenovo has announced new leaders for its North America and EMEA divisions.

Aymar de Lencquesaing, currently President of EMEA, has become the new President of Lenovo North America from today. Lencquesaing, a former CEO of Packard-Bell, joined the Chinese smartphone company in 2013 to lead the expansion of the company’s business in the EMEA mobile space.

In addition, former HP executive Eric Cador has joined as the Senior Vice President and President of EMEA, starting 1 May. Cador formally led HP’s PC business in EMEA as Senior Vice President of the Personal System Group, eventually overseeing leadership of printing and personal systems.

The two new appointments will report to Gianfranco Lanci, recently promoted to President and COO of Lenovo. Lenovo has extensively reshuffled its board in recent months.

"We are proud to have the most diverse, experienced and talented leadership team in our industry – and this is a core competitive strength for Lenovo. We can attract great talent because our business is strong, our strategy is clear and our opportunity looking forward is substantial," said Lanci.

He added: "In Aymar, we are placing one of our most proven leaders in the strategically crucial North America market to not only build on our strong foundation, but also to deliver the kind of profitable growth and business diversification we have seen in EMEA.

"In Eric, we have attracted a unique talent to our company – an industry veteran with an incredible track record for delivering growth, deep insights into our industry, and a strong competitive spirit."
