Ron Lachman seems to prefer buying and selling companies to running them: Herndon, Virginia-based Legent Corp announced yesterday that it has acquired Lachman Technology Inc of Naperville, Illinois for 500,000 new shares, valuing the company at an indicated $14.75m; Lachman was the one currently independent bit of the old Interactive Systems Corp, which was assembled by Eastman Kodak Co and then dismembered, with parts going to Sun Microsystems Inc, the rest to SHL Systemhouse Inc; Lachman Technology was a buyout from SHL last year; it is now an $8m-a-year company and does networking and storage management technology for open systems.
