Photographs and basic technical details of an unnamed device, apparently built by Legend, have appeared on numerous web sites. The device is said to house a 400MHz Intel XScale processor, along with 64MB of RAM and 32MB of ROM.

Unlike previous designs using Pocket PC Phone Edition 2002, such as the O2 XDA and Hewlett-Packard’s now de-listed Jornada 928, which are little more than PDAs with an external antenna for 2.5G networks, Legend’s device more closely resembles a conventional mobile handset. Features include a flip-down numerical keypad that partially covers a color touch-screen in the mode of Sony Ericsson’s Symbian OS-powered P800.

Rumors suggested that the device will be made available next month. However, it is unlikely to be seen outside of China given Legend’s previous strategy.
