More details and mock-up images of Google’s next Nexus smartphone are doing the rounds on the web, courtesy information obtained by Android Police from sources.
Expected to be called Nexus 6 or Nexus X, the phone, based on the rendering of mock-up image by Android Police, looks like a longer version of second-generation Moto X.
In terms of specs, the phone is expected to have a 5.9-inch 2560×1440 display, 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation, 2-megapixel front-facing shooter and a "3200+ mAh" battery.
Sources report that the Nexus 6 will run Android L, which is said to be Android 5.0, and include support for Motorola’s Turbo Charger, claiming to provide up to eight hours of usage with 15 minutes of charging.
Just like the new Moto X, Nexus 6 is likely to have aluminum frames on the sides, with front and back-facing stereo speakers.
The phone is likely to be powered by Snapdragon 805 processor, and might have 3GB of RAM.
The image shows revamped icons for Google Play Store. Status icons for battery, Wi-fi, and cell signals do not have breaks, indicating the changes that Android L might bring.
Reports also hinted at a possibility that Google may debut two Nexus smartphones this year.
