It’s not all mistletoe and holly publishing a daily covering the computer industry, and we are feeling a little lonelier today after receiving a letter from Groupe Tests SA saying that Le Lettre Internationale de l’Informatique would cease publication at the end of the year – after a formidable 16 years: the publishers blame mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations and closures, which has steadily reduced the number of major players interested in receiving the Letter over the past three years, so that the thing is no longer viable; for a dozen years, France supported not one but two computer dailies, but Le Courrier de l’Informatique disappeared a couple of years back.
